“Young birch trees” at Binder Optik
This training year, twelve new apprentices are starting their careers at Binder Optik. As a training company, we are always on the lookout for motivated young talent and are delighted to welcome our new trainees.
First the info, then the pleasure
In order to get to know the company and each other, the prospective opticians and the prospective office management assistant were invited to a welcome event at the Böblingen headquarters. They were welcomed by Managing Director Dominic Baur, HR Manager Sabine le Plat, Sales Manager Mario Lehanka and Master Optician and Head of the Apprentice Workshop Ruven Hofmann. Dominic Baur welcomed the trainees personally and introduced himself and the family business. Sabine le Plat then informed the trainees about all the important topics relating to training. The prospective opticians will spend the next three years in the various branches, while the office management assistant will be trained at the head office.
Once all the organizational matters had been clarified, the trainees were allowed to get active themselves, as an unusual round of introductions was now on the agenda. “If you were a tree, which one would you be?” – was one of the questions that the trainees asked each other as they got to know each other in a speed dating format. In addition to palm trees and fir trees, birch trees were also very popular. Lunch together was followed by a trip to the escape room in Stuttgart. The trainees solved the puzzles together in four different rooms and became real teams in no time. Finally, goodie bags with notepads, water bottles, information flyers and much more were distributed – now our trainees are ready for the start of their careers!
