Contact lenses.

Find the ideal contact lenses for your needs.
Contact lenses are the invisible alternative to glasses; a more practical visual aid for sports, outdoor activities and in some professional fields. Whether you wear your lenses as a supplement to your glasses or want to switch to contact lenses completely, at Binder Optik we not only find the right lenses for you, but also provide you with maximum wearing comfort.
Contact lenses differ not only in terms of curvature, but also in terms of the intended wearing time. Different materials are used to optimize the lenses for your wearing purpose.
In a personal consultation, we will clarify with you which wearing time is recommended for you.
Contact lens types.
Do we have the right contact lenses for your visual impairment? In the vast majority of cases: Yes. This is because technological innovations now make it possible to correct almost all visual defects without glasses. At Binder Optik, you can obtain spherical contact lenses to correct short-sightedness and long-sightedness, toric contact lenses to correct astigmatism and multifocal lenses to replace your varifocals.

Brand contact lenses.
The choice of material has a direct impact on wearing comfort, not only for glasses but also for contact lenses. Binder Optik wants to give you the best possible visual experience here too. For this reason, we offer both soft contact lenses and rigid (hard) contact lenses from leading brands.
The high material quality of branded contact lenses is particularly advantageous for you:
- They have a high level of UV protection.
- Special wetting agents protect your eyes from drying out.
- The lenses are dirt-repellent. This is particularly important for contact lenses as they come into direct contact with your eyes. Contamination can therefore easily lead to irritation or even inflammation.
Hard and soft contact lenses.
Contact lenses can be divided into hard and soft contact lenses according to their material. Hard contact lenses are dimensionally stable. They float directly on the cornea of the eye. The exchange of the tear film between the lens and the cornea means that new oxygen is constantly supplied to the eye. Hard contact lenses are therefore generally better tolerated and can be worn for longer without any problems. However, many contact lens wearers initially find hard lenses uncomfortable during the familiarization phase.
Contact lens wearers can generally get used to soft lenses more quickly due to their flexible material. They adhere more strongly to the eyes, which is why they can also be worn well during sport. In contrast to hard lenses, soft contact lenses cover the entire cornea, which means that the tear film is shielded from it. Hygienic care and cleaning as well as regular six-monthly check-ups are essential for all contact lenses.
