1st place for Binder Optik
The German Institute for Service Quality has awarded the family business Binder Optik a VERY GOOD rating.
Ten leading optical chain stores were scrutinized by the German Institute for Service Quality. Dominic Baur, Managing Director of Binder Optik: Our medium-sized company was awarded the quality rating “very good” in all eight categories examined. The comprehensive assessment was carried out in the areas of consulting expertise, communication quality, waiting times and accessibility, range and consulting experience, among others.
The German Institute for Service Quality (DISQ) is a market research institute that conducts studies on the service quality of companies on behalf of newspapers and television stations. Its clients include well-known media such as n-tv, wiso, Computer-Bild and Handelsblatt.

The specialist stores were visited at various times between October and November 2018. Test shoppers analyzed the quality of advice in various subject-specific areas. In all areas, Binder Optik scored particularly well thanks to the high quality of the discussions with the friendly staff. The consultations were always structured, the answers correct and professionally competent. For the customer, these discussions created the greatest added value in the comparison of providers.
Dominic Baur continues: “The main differences between providers in the optical industry are not in the products such as frames or lenses, the decisive factor is the quality of advice and service for the customer. The fact that the tests of this renowned institute have declared us to be the best optical retailer confirms our company philosophy, according to which we constantly invest in the latest technology and our staff training has reached a recognized top level. For the consumer, this means a high level of safety.”
