Safe to school – Blinkies protect children from accidents

The days are getting shorter and darker, many drivers are not yet aware of the youngest road users and easily overlook them. In addition, school starters in particular are often distracted and are not yet able to correctly assess dangers in road traffic. To better protect children, Binder Optik is now giving out free reflectors in all stores. The “Bindi-Blinkies” are attached to clothing and satchels to make pupils more visible and thus help to prevent accidents.

Reflectors are particularly important as twilight, early darkness and fog in the fall make it even more difficult for drivers to see. When fitting them, it is important to ensure that the lower half of the body is illuminated by the headlights first.
In addition to good visibility, it is also essential that children can see clearly themselves. Optimum vision makes it easier for them to find their way around and makes them feel safe in traffic. The same applies at school: good vision is essential for good learning. Binder Optik therefore recommends that all parents have an eye test carried out with their children – especially now at the start of school.
