The right frame for your face shape
Are you looking for a new pair of glasses and wondering: Which glasses suit me? Today, glasses are much more than visual aids – they are a fashion accessory and an expression of personality. In our specialist stores, you can choose your new frames from a huge variety of colors, shapes and brands.
We advise you according to your type! In addition to your individual taste, your face shape is an important factor when choosing glasses. However, the distance between your eyes and your skin type should also be taken into account when making your choice. We have put together a few tips for you here.

Square face
Square faces with a broad chin and pronounced jaw already have striking contours. We recommend frames with round or oval lenses to soften the severity and make them appear a little softer. Curved frames such as aviator glasses or cat-eye glasses also flatter the shape of the face. Square faces can also wear bold frames and dark colors.

Round face
If the cheeks and forehead are roughly the same width and the chin is rather short, the face appears round and soft. Glasses with corners and edges are best suited here: Rectangular, square or hexagonal frames give the face contour. Glasses with rounded lenses and delicate frames, on the other hand, are unfavorable – they further emphasize the round shape of the face.

Oval face
Congratulations, you have the ideal spectacle face!
Almost any frame fits the harmonious proportions of oval faces. Feel free to try out a striking or extravagant model – you can wear it!

Heart-shaped face
Heart-shaped faces have a pronounced forehead and cheekbones, while the chin tends to be narrow and pointed. Soft and curved eyewear shapes that follow the shape of the face create a harmonious look. Heart-shaped faces are therefore the exception to the rule of thumb “The shape of the glasses should be more of a contrast to the shape of the face”. Models that are slightly wider at the top, such as cat-eye glasses, flatter the heart-shaped face. Frames with rounded or oval lenses are also recommended. In order not to emphasize the wide forehead, the frame should be rather narrow, delicate and in light colors.

Trapezoidal face
The trapezoidal face is characterized by a narrow forehead and a prominent, wide jawline. To create a balance, the frame should have its distinctive point on the opposite side, i.e. on the upper edge. Accentuated at the top, rather thin at the bottom – cat-eye glasses, glasses with a half rim at the top or frames with a color gradient that become lighter towards the bottom are suitable for this. In this way, the glasses balance out the proportions of the trapezoidal face.
