New name, same heart: Augenmass Opticdesign becomes Binder Optik
Welcome to Binder Optik in the Rhein-Neckar-Zentrum in Viernheim! Master optician and optometrist Gabriela Recker has handed over her small, fine optician’s store in a prime location to Binder Optik.
In 23 years at the location, Gabriela Recker has made a name for herself with an exquisite range of branded frames for prescription and sunglasses – including from Tom Ford, Chanel, Prada, Saint Laurent and Gucci – plenty of expertise, charm and top service. On April 1, 2025, the thoroughbred businesswoman has now handed over her life’s work into the best hands. Gabriela Recker and her team will continue to serve their regular customers.
Gabriela Recker is delighted with the succession: “My business will be retained. In Binder Optik, my regular customers are not only gaining one of the most successful optical retailers, but also a multiple award-winning test winner. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my customers once again for their many years of loyalty and trust.”

On April 28, the store in the Rhein-Neckar-Zentrum reopens under a yellow flag.
