Multifocal lenses.

What are multifocal lenses?
A multi-focal lens has several areas with different strengths for different viewing distances. The upper area is optimized for distance, the lower area for close-up and the middle area for intermediate distances.
With modern progressive lenses, the different areas merge seamlessly into one another. The eye glides smoothly back and forth between the areas – hence the term “progressive lens”.
A glass for all occasions.
With progressive lenses, there is no need to constantly switch between reading and distance glasses. Thanks to the large areas for near and distance, they are suitable for both driving and reading.
There are special room comfort lenses for certain situations such as office work. They do not reach as far into the distance as conventional progressive lenses, but have a distinct area for medium distances. This enables comfortable vision within a closed room.
