donates EUR50,000
for a good cause.
Anchored in Baden-Württemberg and at home in southern Germany, we take social responsibility for the region. That is why we are making a one-off donation of EUR 1,000 to each of our 50 locations. This is intended to support local, non-profit associations in their work for the benefit of the community.

Jakob Binder, Helmut Baur’s grandfather, ran a small jewelry store in Böblingen in the early 1900s. His product range included watches, jewelry and optics. When Fritz Baur, Helmut Baur’s father, married into the Binder family, he and his wife Maria took over the business. Helmut Baur met his wife Gabriele. They decided to outsource the optical business and set up their own business. The name Binder already enjoyed a good reputation back then. So they kept it. In 2015, Helmut Baur handed over the management of the business to his son Dominic Baur.
