40 years of Binder Optik: Customer benefits as a thank you
The first Binder Optik store was opened in Böblingen on August 1, 1975. Today, Binder is one of the largest optician chain stores in Germany.
A direct hit for customers: Discounts to mark the 40th anniversary
To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Binder Optik is giving its customers a range of special offers. From July 1, the “Double discount: buy 2 pairs of glasses – pay for only one” campaign will start: when purchasing a pair of single-vision or varifocal glasses, customers will receive a second pair of high-quality single-vision or varifocal glasses in the same lens quality as part of the package. This makes it possible to save up to 50 percent. Incidentally, the motto “Cake fight at Binder Optik” can be taken (almost) literally: Delicious cakes are served in the stores every Wednesday from 1 pm. To coincide with its 40th anniversary, Binder Optik is also launching its revamped website with a fresh new design. As a special thank you, every customer will receive a 20 euro voucher for signing up to the newsletter.
The success is down to the whole family
The family-run traditional company Binder Optik has been associated with the Böblingen location since the start of business in 1975: The company’s headquarters are still located here today. With Dominic Baur, the second generation is now taking over the operational management of the company.
His ambition is to lead Binder Optik into the modern future. The first specialist optical store was opened in Böblingen in 1975. Over the following four decades, the Baur family has succeeded in establishing itself as one of the most successful German chain stores in the optical industry: Today, the branch network once founded by senior boss Dr. Helmut Baur extends to Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria and Rhineland-Palatinate. The recent generational change also ensures future success: the number of branches is set to increase. Up to 65 branches are planned for the next few years.
